Training company with international diversity

Six trainees were welcomed by ULRICHSHOF Junior Manager and DEHOGA Bavaria training ambassador Nikolaus Brandl at the beginning of September. ‘An apprenticeship in the hotel industry is particularly attractive because it offers a unique combination of practical relevance and an international perspective. This industry enables young people to gain both professional and personal experience on a global level.’ Brandl also emphasised that ULRICHSHOF plays a special role in the hotel industry thanks to its sustainability and family working environment: ‘We offer sound training and at the same time create a working environment that offers room for personal development and innovative ideas.’ The new trainees can look forward to a varied training programme that offers them professional career opportunities and the chance to work in a globally networked environment. ULRICHSHOF attaches great importance to providing young people from the region and abroad with future-proof prospects. The six new trainees bring with them a wide range of experiences and stories that show how differently their paths have led them into the world of the hotel industry.

Trainees from the region

16-year-old Emily Beer from Furth im Wald is training to become a hotel manager. She gained her first experience through an internship at the ULRICHSHOF and with her uncle in the restaurant. ‘I always wanted to do something with people, and after my internship it was clear to me that I wanted to start my apprenticeship here,’ she says. After completing her training, Emily plans to work in other countries and gain new experiences. Jasmin Heidrich, 16 years old and from Arnschwang, decided to train as a hotel specialist. She had already completed an internship at the ULRICHSHOF and was inspired by her sister, who is also doing an apprenticeship here. Jasmin’s plans for the future are clear: ‘After my apprenticeship, I want to do my A-levels and become a bookseller. The hotel apprenticeship gives me security for the future.’ 16-year-old Jura Sivak, who comes from the Czech Republic and lives in Furth im Wald, is training to become a specialist in restaurant and event catering. He discovered his passion for catering while working in a youth hostel. ‘After my apprenticeship, I want to travel the world and get to know new cultures.’

Our trainees, whether from the region or from abroad, are an asset to our team.

International enrichment from Kyrgyzstan

Three young women from Kyrgyzstan have also decided to train at ULRICHSHOF. 18-year-old Nurkyz Muratova is training to become a specialist in restaurant and event catering. ‘I learnt German early on and was supported by my school and friends who already work at ULRICHSHOF,’ she says. Her enthusiasm for the catering industry and the opportunity to travel around Europe is what drives her. She is particularly looking forward to discovering countries like Italy and Spain, because ‘I love football and my favourite club is Real Madrid.’ Aizhamal Beischenbekova, 17, a trainee restaurant and event catering specialist, has already worked in a restaurant as a waitress and cook. ‘I would like to continue working in Germany or Europe after my training and gain new experience,’ she says. 19-year-old Aiiza Elemanova, who is training to be a chef, already has experience as a waitress and has big plans: ‘My friend Tilek is also training at ULRICHSHOF and we dream of opening a restaurant together.’

Intercultural diversity as a success factor

With its diverse training programme, the ULRICHSHOF shows that international cooperation and local talent go hand in hand. This mixture of tradition and innovation makes the family hotel a model company in the German hotel industry. ‘Our trainees, whether from the region or from abroad, are an asset to our team,’ says Julia Dobmeier, Head of Human Resources at ULRICHSHOF. ’We are particularly proud of our trainees from Kyrgyzstan, who are always committed and motivated despite the challenge of integrating into a new country. We provide them with the best possible support in their personal and professional development.’ It is no coincidence that ULRICHSHOF has once again fulfilled the requirements for the nationwide DEHOGA seal of approval and repeatedly received the ‘TOP training company’ award.

Nikolaus Brandl is optimistic about the future of the new trainees: ‘We expect our new trainees to be highly motivated and enthusiastic about the hotel industry. The ULRICHSHOF not only offers them a secure job, but also the chance to contribute their own ideas and develop their professional skills in the long term. We are excited to see what a breath of fresh air our new talents will bring to the business.’
